Fed up with typing captions and comments?? Share your moments with a feel of your voice – MUSPIC !!

This is the story of Mohit Sharma, who has just started his entrepreneurial journey of making a global product that can replace the existing system in the photo-sharing community named ‘Muspic’. Within one and a half years of starting his research, he publicly tested the beta version of the website with 100+ users.

MUSPIC is claimed to be the world’s first app/web-based photo-sharing platform where users not only share photos but also convey their feelings about the photos using their voice. Users can caption and comment on photos with their voices. This is a new era replacement of emotionless text messages.

As he says “One step closer to real-world photo-sharing & the future of Photo Sharing in digital life.”

How he did it?

Mohit Sharma (CEO and Founder of Muspic) a highly skilled web developer. He started his research on the project in the year 2019 when he was in the last year of his technical graduation. When everybody else in the college was looking for jobs, this fresh innovator was busy making a better product for the global photo-sharing community.

While typing lengthy and feeling fewer text messages and captions on other photo sharing and social networking websites he was using, he questioned that everybody around the world is busy competing for the video-sharing platforms but no one is using the voice tool for sharing with the world.

The idea of using the real voice came out of the fact that

According to Albert Mehrabian’s 7-38-55 Rule of Personal Communication, spoken words make only 7% of communication whereas your Voice & Tone make up 38% of your communication. This means your Voice matters more than your words when sharing your feelings & emotions with others.

Further, he analyzed that there are many problems in the current technique of social networking and photo sharing via messages that can be curated if we use real voice

  1. Removing the Language Barrier

Living in India, A multilingual country he realized a social media user has to be perfect in written communication in one of the Indian or foreign languages whereas one-fourth of the population is illiterate. With the use of a real voice, we need not convert or type in a certain language.

As they say “Words are the only tip of the iceberg”

  1. Bridging the generation gap in networking

In one hand there is young and fast FOMO generation who doesn’t want to waste time in typing (they have even changed the language to short forms) and on the other hand, there are people from older generations who wants to keep in touch with networking and photo-sharing sites but are unable to type such lengthy messages. Real voice can bridge the the gap of generation for keeping touch with each other.

  1. Defying Profile hacking with the use of real voice, it would be difficult for a profile hacker to further use a profile.

Mr. Mohit Sharma has always believed that

“If you have curiosity and enough will to make something that would change the world works, you should think of yourself on a mission for a better world and start working for it right now.”

With further research and determination, he started building an MVP as a web version of the platform in the fall of 2019. He had support from his family friend Karan Sharma (co-founder of Muspic) in development who happens to be an experienced software engineer in Bangalore.

Bootstrapping a tech-product remains the biggest challenge for Mr. Sharma.

Now to get off the ground, he worked on the legal side and finally the company got incorporated with Udyog Adhar Registration in 2019 July. And Muspic launched the beta version for testing.

With a lean team of less than 10 employees, Muspic works on the B2B2C business model.

In the words of Mr. Mohit Sharma

“Entrepreneurship is a long journey with a lot of experience, learning, and risks along the way”.

Muspic has successfully launched and tested the first public Beta version of their platform as MUSPIC Lite for Android with 100+ users. They are looking for their first round of seed investment (angel funding of around $100K) to develop the native versions for iOS and Android and bring that to the users.

Muspic hopes to capture the big share of ads market in future after getting millions of users on board our platform.

MarketsandMarkets forecasts the global AI in the social media market to grow from” USD 0.6 billion in 2018 to USD 2.2 billion by 2023, at a Compound Annual Growth Rate (CAGR) of 28.3% during the forecast period”. Another study says “Ad spending in the Social Media Advertising segment is projected to reach US$98,646m in 2020. Ad spending is expected to show an annual growth rate (CAGR 2020-2024) of 7.6%, resulting in a market volume of US$132,245m by 2024.”
